On the Side of My Mind: So, if there was a competition between the musical talents of N'Sync, U2 and Dave Matthews, surely the winnner would at least be an act that plays their own instruments and writes their own songs.... And, if a band chooses to label its music as "alternative," then maybe they would expand their sonic pallete beyond the standard guitar, bass, drums, screamer combination that millions of bands have used in the past...
